CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
1.1       Background to the Study
The home/family is the unit of society." This unit must be kept clean, pure and right in all its relations with the society. Certainly, in the past, the institutions of society and state have been seriously weakened only when the moral decay of the family has first set in. There are many organizations which have for their special care the fostering of the social and political life, while the strengthening of home ties has been sadly neglected. Morality is ethics or principles that makes one stand out among multitude and it is a means of assessing an individual's worth in any society. Moral value therefore in our  youth is what cannot be overemphasized in the youths.[1]  Youths of any country today are the leaders of tomorrow, as a result, there is the need to inculcate good moral in them as the world has been bedeviled with a lot of immorality. Immorality is most common in our youths and if this menace is not curbed, it will further create anarchy in our environments and its inhabitants. One of the major problem plagueing the morality of youth today in our society are lack of parental upbringing in the home. Failure of Christian home to pay attention to the timing youths has been the Major cause of upheavals in our society. Our youths should be engaged by our parent and be made productive. A morally upright youth therefore is an asset to the society at large.
